WHY WE EXIST
The Washington DC Chapter was created in September 2022 by the union of volunteers located in the US and in Brazil, with the Mission of strengthening and integrating the Brazilian community in the DMV region (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia) by fostering women’s protagonist role.
WHAT WE DO
We connect people, entities, ideas, and create opportunities that promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and sustainability in our community.
OUR VISION
Brazilian women and their families prosperous and fully and actively integrated in the region and the country.
OUR STRUCTURE
We are 125 volunteers and growing, including five chapter leaders, as well as leaders of different causes, projects, actions and participants.
We are currently engaged in 3 specific causes and 1 committee.
WHAT WE DO
We work on social, political, and economic causes by carrying out awareness-raising, training, and community-building initiatives and projects in collaboration with other organizations and individuals to transform lives with measurable impacts in the DMV region.
Awareness-raising: Serving as a source of information to raise awareness and generate the desire for change.
Capacity-building: Providing knowledge and developing skills as a catalyst for change.
Community-building: Being a space of belonging, visibility and welcome to sustain changes.
Collaboration: Connecting and partnering with entities with common objectives to maximize resources and results.
